Uniform Requirements

UNIFORM & APPEARANCE 2022 

All students are expected to wear the official College uniform, not only while at College, but also while travelling to and from College. 

GENERAL UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS

1. Any short-term variations to the uniform are to be explained by the parent to the class teacher. 

2. College HATS must be worn during Terms 1 & 4 whenever out of doors – NO HAT, NO PLAY. In line with advice from the Cancer Council, for a period of time during the winter months College hats will not be required to be worn. Students and parents will be notified of these times. For health reasons, spare hats are not provided by the College. 

3. Garments worn under the shirt or dress for added warmth must not be visible. 

4. When APPEARING IN PUBLIC on the way to and from College it is expected that students will wear their uniform, including footwear, correctly and with pride. 

5. SPORTS UNIFORM is worn in place of dress uniform on sport and P.E days each week. Some other subjects may require wearing of the sport uniform. 

6. No MAKE-UP (including nail polish) is worn by students at the College. Colourless sunscreen cream should be used. 

7. No JEWELLERY is worn except both girls and boys may wear one pair of plain sleepers or studs in pierced ears and boys and girls may wear a small cross on a fine necklace inside their uniform. 

8. HAIR is to be neat and clean and worn well out of the eyes. When shoulder length or longer it is to be tied back with black, navy blue or marron ties. Hair bands must be in College colours. 

9. No EXTREMES OF HAIR STYLE OR ARTIFICIAL COLOURING, INCLUDING TIPS will be permitted for girls or boys. No undercuts or other styles less than a number 2 cut are acceptable. If this situation occurs, the student will be sent home until the offending style can be altered acceptably or a school beanie will be worn until the style or colour grows out. 

BOYS’ DRESS UNIFORM 

Formal Winter Uniform: 

  • Long grey formal style trousers. (not “cargo” style pants). Some students prefer to continue to wear shorts. We encourage long trousers from upper primary and in Year 10 this should be normal waer. 
  • White long sleeve shirt 
  • College tie (Optional) 
  • Maroon V-neck college jumper 
  • Grey ankle length socks 
  • Black leather lace-up shoes 
  • College blazer (compulsory Year 10) 

Formal Summer Uniform: 

  • Grey formal shorts or grey trousers . Trousers should be normal wear in Year 10. 
  • White open neck short sleeve shirt 
  • Maroon V-neck college jumper 
  • Grey ankle length socks 
  • Black leather lace-up shoes 
  • Navy College sun hat or navy college cap 
  • College blazer (compulsory Year 10) 

GIRLS UNIFORM 

Formal Winter Uniform: 

  • College skirt (must sit on top of knees or longer) 
  • Navy trousers 
  • White short sleeved blouse 
  • Navy bow (optional) 
  • Navy stockings or socks 
  • Black leather lace-up or Mary Jane shoes 
  • Maroon V-neck college jumper 
  • College blazer (compulsory Year 10) 

Formal Summer Uniform: 

  • College skirt (must sit on top of knees or longer) 
  • Navy shorts trousers 
  • Navy shorts 
  • White short sleeved blouse 
  • Navy bow (optional) 
  • White ankle length fold over socks (not sports socks) 
  • Black leather lace-up or Mary Jane shoes 
  • Maroon V-neck college jumper 
  • Navy College sun hat or navy college cap 
  • College blazer (compulsory Year 10) 

GIRLS’ & BOYS’ PHYSICAL EDUCATION UNIFORM (This uniform may be worn everyday for students Kindergarten – Year 2) 

  • Navy track pants or sports shorts (leggings optional for girls) 
  • Navy college polo shirt 
  • White sports socks 
  • Black (predominately) lace-up sports shoes 
  • College ruby top 
  • Navy college sunhat or cap 

Note: 

College track pants, legging and college tracksuit jacket must not be worn with dress uniform. 

The college spray jacket is not to be worn in class or in chapel. It is for inclement days and when students are waiting for bus transport to and from school. 

All students are expected to wear the official College uniform, not only while at College, but also while travelling to and from College. 

Special circumstances that require a student to wear a different uniform or different parts of thr uniform must be authorised by the Head of School. 

Supply of Uniform: 

  • The College uniform is available from School Locker in Cambridge Park. Only the uniform from school locker is authorised to be worn.
